Alcide was heading to the Stackhouse place to met the blonde waitress that Eric was talking about. While he was busy looking for the Fay he notice a  5ft 5 honey brunette sitting upon the porch swing reading what seemed to a novel of some sort, as he got closer he couldn't seem to control the wolf within, and softly groaned which caused the young woman's head to perk up like a dog's. The woman sighed, and placed the novel down, once she noticed the tall buff brunette man standing in the drive way. Veronica put her novel down on the porch swing, and walked down the stairs of Sookie's place
"Oh hello" She said in a Northern accent, Alcide's dark brunette head shot up, and looked into her green eyes, and was breathless
"He. . Hello do you know where Sookie Stackhouse is?" He asked her trying to get his breath back
"Not at this moment, did you want to come in for a while, and wait?" She asked him
"Sure" Alcide replied, and followed her into the house Alcide noticed that she smelled a bit wolfy, but different somehow. Alcide had a hard time controlling the wolf within even more  as he was in the same room with her, it was like his wolf knew this woman was his mate something caught in the air Veronica sniffed the mid afternoon air, and growled softly this caught Alcide's ears, and he too caught the scent, growling soon followed
"Something's not right" She said softly
"Agreed" Alcide told her something wasn't right, and they both knew it, "Get down!" He snarled at her, she whimpered, as he pulled her down with him. Standing there at the opened door was a group of vampires whom where looking for both Sookie, and his mate, Veronica felt her vampire side claw  its way out, so she uncaged it. Alcide was knocked out by the buff male vampire whilst Veronica hissed, and snarled taking the gang down two at a time Veronica's honey eyes grew to a deep dark then a black color then finally settling on crimson red, she ran thru the house, and grabbed a lighter, flipped it open, and smirked as she threw it at the on coming vampire traffic. After the vampires were torn limp, by limp, and burned Veronica re turned to her normal state, and Alcide blinked rubbing the back of his head, he growled a bit, and shook his head "You alright?" He asked her as his brown eyes noticed a few cuts, and burns
"I'll live"
"I could kiss you right now" Veronica giggled a bit, he looked over at her why did she have to be so tempting
"You can, if ya want to" The 24 year old Lycan told the 28 old year were
"Don't tempt me"
"Hmm, I do have to admit that. . " And before she could finish Alcide grabbed her chin, and slammed his lips to hers, she gasped, but kissed him back. He stopped the kiss, lowered his k9's to Veronica's  jugular, and roughly bit her "What are you?"
"Marking you as mine. . If that's what ya want?" Alcide couldn't understand why he was asking, or being gentlemanly usually he just took, but she seemed different, and he didn't want to lose her
"No I don't mind. . The Big Bad Wolf" Alcide chuckled as he licked the wound on her neck, and kissed her again. That was until Sookie walked into her house
